Dear CCA Students, Parents, and Community,
We continue to grow here at Cherokee Charter Academy. One of our most obvious areas of growth is with our brand new high school program. We expanded to 9th grade this year, and have plans to continue that expansion with 10th grade next year. We are currently working with our Board of Directors to explore all areas of facility expansion. We anticipate that there will be a minimum of 5 additional classrooms next school year. If you, or someone you know, would like to know more about high school plans, please reach out to the school. We would love to schedule a meeting with you to discuss our future plans.
We have several opportunities for parents to be involved over the coming weeks. We hope that you will take advantage of these opportunities and continue to partner with us in providing the best education possible for our students. Please frequently monitor Parent Square, the CCA website, and our Facebook page to stay up to date on everything that is going on at CCA.
Finally, as we continue to transition back to school following the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, I am so proud of our school community and community at large. During life’s most challenging moments, true character is revealed, and it is obvious that we have an extremely caring community at Cherokee Charter. The outpouring of support to our school has been tremendous. We are thankful for all the donations we have received as we continue to work with our families to ensure that they have what they need. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who assisted with our campus clean-up. While we were fortunate to have only minor damage, your efforts allowed our students to return to campus as soon as possible. Lastly, I would also like to offer a huge THANKS to all the utility workers, first responders, government officials, and countless others who continue to respond to those in need. You have been a blessing to so many during this difficult time. There is no better way to model patriotism than to support and assist those who are in need. Thank you from all of the CCA family.
Go Patriots!
Mr. Teague, School Director
